Nina Carberry was taken to hospital with a foot injury following the bumper at Leopardstown today.

The leading amateur rider was reported to have suffered a puncture wound to her left foot when riding Timesawastin to finish second in the concluding contest.

"We are not sure what happened but she suffered quite a severe puncture wound to her foot and will require stitches. It would appear it happened during the race," said Clerk of the Course Lorcan Wyer.
