Cairde Go Deo made all to land the Listed King George V Cup under Colin Keane for Ger Lyons.

Third in the Salsabil Stakes on her seasonal debut, she then claimed the Yeats Stakes when upped in trip to a mile-and-five.

Sent off at 11/10 (from 10/11) in the colours of Mark Dobbin, the daughter of Camelot was pushed along when pressed a furlong and a half from home.

Soon ridden, she pulled out more in the final furlong, going on to score by a length. Boundless Ocean who was sent off the even money favourite, tried hard in the final furlong but couldn't reel-in the winner and ultimately had to settle for second under Kevin Manning for Jim Bolger. Inuit ran well, just a length-and-a-half back in third, while Jezebel Queen was last of the four.

"It was either come here with a penalty or go next week to Cork for the Munster Oaks," Lyons said.

"We took a view that with weather coming in on Monday that nice ground is her forte.

"We said we would come here and we knew what was happening here. The race fell apart a bit but you can't knock the way she has done it.

"I would be going to an (Irish) Oaks with her no more confident than I was with Even So. If you are placed, you'd be delighted. If you're not in it, you can't win it. Even So proved maybe you can win it.

"I trained her dam and the dream is still alive. I'd say the next stop is the Oaks.

"She's very much a baby and she's a Camelot, but she's a nice Camelot. Her temperament is good. Now she has done that, we can have a look at the Oaks. That's what we will do at the moment but we will have to discuss it with Mark (Dobbin). I'd say that's the plan."

STEWARDS REPORT

S.M. Crosse, rider of Inuit (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he lost an iron in the straight.
