Bye Bye O Bye is certainly enjoying an indian summer and the 12-year-old gelding made it two wins in six days when justifying favouritism in the Book Online At www.limerickraces.ie Handicap Hurdle.

The veteran is trained near Tallow by Michael Griffin, and won a point-to-point and three handicap hurdles in the space of a couple of months back in 2016 but was without a win since until scoring in tremendous style at Kilbeggan last Friday.

He was raised 8lb for that 12 lengths victory but just had to carry a 5lb mandatory penalty here and was well-backed on track from 7/2 into 2/1.

Davy Russell produced him to challenge in the straight and just headed chief market rival City Hall at the final flight.

He kept on well to beat that seven years younger rival by a length, with top-weight Global Racing another two lengths away in third.
