Two horses pulled clear turning for home in the Sea Moon & Jukebox Jury At Burgage Stud Maiden Hurdle (Div I) and An Epic Song (14s into 10/1 in the show) got the better of Easca Peasca (3/1) on the run-in to score by three and a quarter lengths. Vischio (28/1) was a remote third as most of the runners got very tired indeed from the second-last.

The winning son of Authorized had one unplaced run over hurdles in France last year and showed good staying power to gain the day despite a mistake two out and a hesitant leap at the last.

“The ground is very holding and deep and it’s hard work for 4-year-olds. Looser ground would suit him better,” said winning rider Darragh O’Keeffe.

Trainer Martin Brassil has his horses in good form and after a 33/1 success with the newcomer Panda Boy at Punchestown yesterday this win made it three winners from his last four runners.

“I’d say it was a fairly weak looking race", said Brassil.

"He’s a horse that had an ordinary enough run in France and I got him to train.

“I wasn’t sure how he would handle the ground, although I’d say he does like a cut in it. We’ll find out a bit more the next day.

“I was hoping he’d finish in the first six or seven and hopefully he can continue to surprise me.

“He looks like a horse that could improve with time. He’s a nice big-framed horse with a good pedigree. He’ll be a novice until the end of November.”
