Henry de Bromhead has enjoyed plenty of success Flat and jumps since racing resumed and 6/4 favourite Bold Enough was another winner for the Knockeen, Co.Waterford handler in the MansionBet It’s Not Rocket Science Maiden Hurdle.
Always handy under Rachael Blackmore, the five-year-old was strongly pressed by Hesamanofhisword from the third-last flight, but he jumped the second-last well and drew away from that point for a four length success.
The ease in the ground was never going to trouble the son of Jeremy, second to the highly-regarded Ballyadam in a point-to-point, and fourth in his first run over hurdles behind subsequent Grade 1 winner and Supreme fourth Asterion Forlonge at Naas in January.
Winning trainer Henry de Bromhead said: "We said after his last run that we would put him away and wait for the new novice season, but we didn't think it would be this long!
"I'm delighted to get him going and he had to do it the hard way as it looked he was taken on for the whole race.
"He saw it out well because the other horse (runner-up Hesamanofhisword) looked to be going better turning in.
"He is owned by a new client Mastafa Elatrash, who lives in Dungarvan, so I'm delighted and it's great to get a winner for him."
