Willie Mullins’ Blazing Tempo under Paul Townend, ran out an impressive winner of the final feature race of the year, the Grade 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Lombardstown Mares Novice Chase, at Punchestown today.

Blazing Tempo, the 9/10 favourite, jumped to the front two out before running out an easy winner from Cool Quest

Afterwards Mullins stated “she jumped better today over the bigger fences and seemed to have more respect for them. I was very happy with the way she came back to two miles, from two and a half, and while I’ll try to keep her to mares’ races, she’ll be entered in the better novice races too.”
