Power Drive who provided Ciara Flynn with her first winner when making most here in November, repeated the trick in division two of the Dundalk Winter Series Championship Handicap.
The seven-year-old gelding is trained by her father Paul and got to the front before the first bend despite being drawn high in 15.
The 13/2 chance asserted early in the straight and was in command inside the final furlong to beat Fox Leicester by two-and-a-half-lengths. Blackstone Cliff made good late headway on the stands’ side to take third spot a further length-and-a-half away.
Flynn, who was 21 yesterday and only took out a licence last summer, said, “That's my second winner and on the same horse, he's a great help to me.
“I was taking a look to see if I was going too fast. He hasn't run for nearly two months and was a bit fresh.
“He's in great form and we thought he'd run well but he was drawn 15 so we thought I wouldn't get to the front.
“He flew out of the stalls and I was able to cut in. It was basically the exact same as when he won first time, I had nobody around me and I can't believe nothing got anywhere close to him.
“He just takes off and I can't pull him up at the end either!”
