Ben too Superior in Clonmel opener
The Dessie Hughes trained Superior Ben ran out a comfortable 13 lengths winner of the opening Lisronagh Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel today.
Ably ridden by Roger Loughran, the winner was produced to lead at the second last flight, staying on well for a comfortable success. Morning price gamble Gerbera (25/1 in a place, returned 6/1) fell at the fourth.
Hughes was absent but winning owner Tom Curran did mention "I'm delighted to win as it was a bit overdue. We'll let Dessie decide where to go next!"
