After the market principals were all taken out of the mares' maiden hurdle at Thurles, Beauforts Storm readily justified 1/5 favouritism in the hands of David Doyle.
She went for home between the final two flights and the chasing Mile End couldn't respond.
Beauforts Storm ran on by three and three-quarter lengths with Mile End coming home second at 6/1. Nugentstown Sue (25/1) rounded out the placings, a further nine-lengths back.
Tim Doyle said: "She was 16/1 this morning, so it was some shock when the others (ahead of her in the betting) all came out. She probably wouldn't have won otherwise, but I think she'd have been in the money as she ran well here last week.
"She is a nice mare and will come back here for a Listed novice before Christmas.
"She is a good ground filly, is getting better with every run, and that will boost her confidence. Her year will be over once the ground gets too soft." Baby Kate Karamoja and Lau And Shaz were ruled out due to the going, while Glens Lullaby was scratched due to an injury.
