Beat Of The Sea gained her second track and trip win when successful in the Racing TV Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan.
A first winner for Seamus Fahey since this Born To Sea mare scored here in June 2019, the victor was partnered to success by bang-in-form Conor McNamara.
A seventh winner for the Limerick pilot since August 10th, Beat Of The Sea was backed from 9/1 into 6/1 in the minutes before the race.
The six-year-old raced in touch, and was third before four out. She closed after two out, improving to lead approaching the straight. From there she went on to beat Sweet Sting by a length and a half.
“She travelled, jumped and did everything right. Just going out the last time I was conscious of having her in pole position but not force her too early,” said McNamara.
“I got there a small bit soon but she stayed well. Seamus had her spot on for today.
“She won here before and seems to like the track. She went through the ground well and hopefully there is another one in her.”
T.N. Brett, rider of Coral Blue trained by S.M.Duffy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the latter stages of this race.
