Black Scorpion transferred his good point-to-point form to the track, as he made it three wins in-a-row in the Coolmore NH Sire Champs Elysees & Pour Moi Maiden Hunters Chase.

Successful on his last two starts at Lemonfield and Dromahane respecitvely, the six-year-old son of Scorpion was sent off at 9/2 today.

Settled in mid-division by Ray Barron, the John Gleeson trained victor took closer order from four out. He was ridden to the front on the run to the last, and kept on well from there, going on to score by two and three parts of a length. Jammin Masters was sent off the 6/4 favourite, and he finished second under Michael Stenson for Ted Walsh.

The eleven-year-old Strideout Euro who was backed from 50's this morning and from 14's to 10's on-course, was another two lengths back in third under Declan Queally for Michelle Duggan.

John Gleeson said afterwards: "He's a fine horse and I just took my time with him and he needed all of it.

"He's a noble looking horse and I'd like to run him in the Ladies Cup at Punchestown next - I've never seen a horse to jump banks like him!

"Patsy Davern is involved in the Don't Go There Syndicate and I'm delighted for him as he has had horses with me for years."
