Award lands opener for Stack
High Award ran out a game winner of the first two-year-old race of the season as Flat racing returned on the grass at the Curragh.
Tommy Stack 's charge was produced to challenge over a furlong from home by Wayne Lordan.
He got the better of Suntan inside the final furlong to post a three-parts-of-a-length victory.
The winner is out of Stack's Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Tarascon and was a first success for Coolmore stallion Holy Roman Emperor.
"He's a tough horse. He doesn't kill himself at home as you can see by the size of his bellyl!" said assistant Fozzy Stack.
"We'll run him back in a winners race probably the Marble Hill. He's never sweated in his life before and is usually a cool dude.
"He's never been away from home and the horse getting upset beside him in the stalls didn't help.
"He'll be better going six furlongs and might turn into an Ascot horse."
