A half-brother to 2009 Champion Hurdler, Punjabi, Attribution is a talented type in his own right, and he's also game as he showed when registering a second Limerick win in the PriceWaterhouseCooper Rated Chase.

J J Slevin asked for, and got some good leaps from the successful chestnut, but Ruby Walsh seemed like he'd gotten the patiently ridden Childrens List into full flow at just the right time down the straight.

Ultimately though he had every chance to go by the Gigginstown House Stud-owned and Henry de Bromhead-trained Attribution. Half a length split them at the finish.

Gigginstown also had the well-backed favourite, Lieutenant Colonel He had no more to give from before two out and ended up twenty nine lengths off the front pair in third.

Attribution's stable companion Some Plan weakened approaching the straight and finished last of the four, another ten lengths behind.

"It was a super ride from J.J. and he battled it out really well and was very tough. He was left in front a good bit out and J.J. really suits him and makes him attack his fences," said de Bromhead.

"I'll speak to Michael and Eddie (O'Leary) and see what they want to do, but stepping up to three miles is an option."
