Conflated recorded a fourth career win and first at Graded level when taking full advantage of a good opportunity in the Bar One Racing Directors Plate Novice Chase at Naas.

The Yeats gelding, who was giving a timely boost to Monkfish on the eve of Cheltenham having been well beaten behind that Festival banker last time at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting, was sent off the 4/9 favourite against three rivals in this 2m4f Grade 3.

Jack Kennedy ’s mount took control in the straight and stretched right away on the run-in to score by all of 21 lengths. Waitnsee kept on past Ministerforsport on the run-in to take the runner-up spot, while Harrie weakened quickly early in the straight and was eased right down after the last.

Winning trainer Denise Foster said, “It was the perfect race for him and on ratings he was entitled to win. He’ll probably head to Fairyhouse and Punchestown.

“He did it well and was happy bowling along in front. He jumped great and stayed on well.

“It looks like he’s better going that direction.”
