Backed from 11/4 into 7/4 favouritism Ingleby Mackenzie produced a lovely finishing burst to cement his superiority in the Pat Woodbyrne Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Tramore.
Sean Flanagan was aboard Ingleby Mackenzie for Eoin Doyle, and four time previous course scorer Just Get Cracking chased home at a distance of two and three parts of a length.
"He was impressive there and won well. Sean said it just got a bit tight coming down the hill. He winged the second last and the last and put it to bed fairly quick," said Doyle.
"He is a nice horse and is only a four-year-old. He's only starting to grow up now, and learn his job. Just talking to Sean there we might have a go at something in Listowel. He is in again here on Saturday night on the Flat and it might be an option.
"We will mix it between the Flat and hurdles with him. He obviously needs that ground. He is after being a good servant now. He had no run in Galway. He missed the break a bit, and just never got into it. He still ran well though. He got the job done tonight anyway."
Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Touchedbyanangel trained by A. Oliver, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.
