Review curragh 9th Oct
Aidan O'Brien's smart filly Homecoming Queen continued her dramatic improvement with a superb display in the Lanwades & Staffordstown Studs Stakes at the CurraghSun 09th Oct
More success for the Welsh as Wind beats Loosen
The second of the Grade 3 races on the card at Limerick this afternoon, the PricewaterhouseCoopers Chase, went for export for the second year running as the Evan Williams trained West With The Wind (3/1) got the better of the 1/2 favourite Loosen My Load. Sun 09th Oct
After race at Limerick Sun, 9th Oct, 2011 (1st)
I didn't think he would handle this type of ground. We had no where else to go with him in the UK. When the rain came I was worried as I always thought he was good ground horse. He is really a spring horse. He jumps, gallops and can quicken. That is my second winner in Ireland, Barizan was my first (won at the Punchestown Festival in 2010). It's a credit to race over here with the great prize money on offer. But you need a good one to come over here as the standard of racing is ten times higher than in the UK. He has only won a fraction of the prize money he should have as the prize money across the sea is so poor.
