He loves that soft ground and while chasing is his game, it took us a long time to get him right. He might have another run over hurdles if he's not punished too hard,. Hopefully he'll be alright in the morning, he's a good stayer and long-term, a race like the Cork National would be something to aim for.

He loves that ground but his problem all along was his jumping. He is starting to learn to jump now and we'll see what handicap mark he gets now. €œHe'll make a nice chaser and might run in a novice next.

He can be a bit scatty in his jumping and was a bit green jumping the last. He's a bit afraid of those hurdles but jumps the Easifix hurdles much better and jumps fences great. He can't go up much for winning this and will go for either a novice or a handicap next. But chasing is his game and he's already got a good education in point-to-points. He's owned by Anthony Byrne who drove down from Donegal today where he's a fish merchant.
