It was probably a combination of jockey being right and trainer being right,. I wanted to go for this, Declan said she was getting quicker now and five was her best trip. We might have been both right. I think maybe five is her best trip now. I know we won so we got away with it. She was gutsy and in fairness I'd say the runner-up's best trip is seven and that was a help. She's just kept improving. She started off winning a maiden here, tipped along, and has just got better and better. She's owned by a very nice woman (Lady O'Reilly) and trained by a very nice fella!. I'll make an entry for the Flying Five and make an entry for the Sapphire. Declan is mad keen for me to go to England. He thinks she'd love England. I know those English sprints and know how good you have to be. She's won a Group 3 and won a Listed. She's not going to Royal Ascot or anything like that. I think we've a good enough program here, we didn't use to have it. We've the Sapphire on Oaks weekend and the Flying Five. When you've won a Listed and Group 3 you are just trying to raise their CV that little bit more. I can dream - I'm good at dreaming!

It’s nice to win a few quid of your own back as I sponsored the race with Sabina (Power, owner of Sole Power). She’s by the same sire as Sole Power as well, and has been running very well,.

It's hard to be confident in races like that but we thought we had her really good,. Danny said there wasn't a lot of pace on the far side so we had to let her roll. Lady O'Reilly has with me a long long time and it's nice to train a nice winner for her. I suppose we'll try and get a bit of valuable black-type for her later on. She won the price of a few drinks today anyway!. The trainer could do with her staying in training next year as he's very low on ammunition so I hope she does but we'll wait and see. She was bought by my daughter Amy as a foal, it was her very first pinhook. That was her first buy and it turned out very lucky.

I thought she was going to win easy at halfway and then I thought oh dear but she’s done it well. She’s improving and learning her game. It’s a good pot. I think now it’s time to go for black type and she may come back here for the Sweet Mimosa.

It’s nice to get a winner for those colours. Lady O’Reilly has been with me for a long, long time. She goes well and she had a bit of form in the book. I don’t know how strong a race it was but she did it well and it’s a nice start to the year for her. I’ve had very few Kyllachy’s and I don’t know why because the best horse I ever had (Sole Power) was by him. They say they want cut but the ones I’ve had don’t seem to. She handled that fine. She’s from a good family, and was bought as a foal by my daughter. I think she was the first foal she ever bought, and I loved her so much I ended up buying her with Chryss. Chryss loved the family so we bought her as a yearling.
