After race at Kilbeggan Sat, 10th Aug, 2024 (1st)
He hadn't won since the English Cesarewitch (in 2022) even though he had run some good races,. It was a good opportunity for him and the three miles was a big plus. He isn't the quickest of jumpers and missed one or two but it was his race. We don't have a plan but we'll go for a similar race if it comes up, although I don't think he'll go back to France. I'm delighted to get the win as he has been a brilliant horse.

After race at Listowel Sat, 25th Sep, 2021 (1st)
He gave him a good ride, held him up three quarters of the way back and that was the plan, to come there at the second last. It worked out for once. They went a really good gallop and, this week, it seemed to suit to come from off the pace here as the ground is quite dead. He won well, we had a good claimer up and taking seven pounds off gives you a chance in these type of races. I'd say Jack won't be claiming for too long. I'm delighted for the owners and it is brilliant to have a winner here, especially with all my local trainers having winners this week.

that's Philip's first win in the professional ranks so we're delighted. He turned professional a week ago and it is great to see him progressing with every ride. He has just been riding for us at the minute and will probably keep riding over hurdles for a while. he ran well in Downpatrick the last day and the step up in trip was a benefit to him. We'll tip away in races like that now. I'm delighted for the owners (Top Of The Hill Syndicate), Run For Oscar won on the flat here last year and Killarney has been a lucky place for them.

We probably fell into the easier division but we’ll take it,. We’ll probably go handicapping now as I don’t think he’s good enough for novices.

After race at Killarney Wed, 15th Jul, 2020 (1st)
He fell into the soft division - that's the way it goes and if you get the chances, you have to take them. He was caught a bit flat-footed but got up and that was the main thing - Philip (son) is used to that from the pony racing and this was his first ride around here. We'll see what mark he gets now but he (the handicapper) can't be too hard on him.

he deserved that after the last as it was jockey's error the last day and he didn't make the same mistake again thank god. I think he is a nice horse and that wouldn't have been ideal ground for him and he definitely wants good ground. He'll probably have a wee break now and you could even see him back running on the flat during the summer. I thought it was a good performance because we were concerned about the ground.
