“He had to tough it out and he jumped brilliant. Cash Back gave us some race there,” said de Bromhead.
“I didn't think he jumped to his right as much as at Christmas, he was very good today.
“A few of ours have improved a lot over fences through the years. Special Tiara was a 116 hurdler and Ordinary was 118.
“Some of them need a fence and you saw his jumping out there, he's a dream and he just seems to love it. Also I was running him over the wrong trip for most of last year!
“He'll go straight to the Arkle and fingers crossed we get a clear run.
“He seems to have won on everything but he's probably marginally better on better ground.
“It was a super ride from Rachael and some race, lucky we came out on top.
“We've five weeks now so we'll freshen him up and try and have him as right as we can.”

I'm delighted with that, he was really good and jumped great. He was brilliant. It was an ideal race for him, he loves jumping and is such a class jumper, that's his forte. I thought we were struggling between the third last and second last but he winged the second last and was away again.

After race at Naas Sat, 21st Nov, 2020 (1st)
he was a little bit rusty over the first few but then jumped really well and stayed at it really well. It’s good to see him back to form and I’d say he’ll go to Leopardstown at Christmas. He loves it around there and has won two Grade 1s there. Rachael said he took a blow at the fourth last and hopefully he’ll come on for it. I’m delighted with him.

After race at Leopardstown Thu, 26th Dec, 2019 (1st)
It’s what we hoped he might do. He jumped brilliant - he gallops and just loves fences. I think it was the first one down the back he took off outside the wings and my heart was in my mouth but he’s quick when he’s in close as well. They went some gallop and that really suited him. He loves to gallop at speed. He can get a bit wound up. I think those two milers need to be half cracked to do what they do. They need that bit of madness to jump.

After race at Punchestown Sat, 16th Nov, 2019 (1st)
I’m delighted with that. Moon Over Germany ran great and I’m delighted with Notebook. He looked impressive here the last day and it’s nice to see him back it up. His jumping was great — he seems to love it. I was a little concerned how he would jump out of that ground but he was electric. He’s really exciting and the fences make a big difference to him. He jumps quick and I think we should use that over two miles for the moment. Gigginstown have plenty of horses and we’ll see what they would like to do but I’d love to stay at two.
