Race-watchers didn't no where to look as the Horse & Jockey Rated Novice Hurdle neared it's conclusion at Thurles, with little over a length splitting the first four home in the two and a half miler. Gordon Elliott's Moratorium (4s out to 11/2) eventually gained the day under Jack Kennedy. Thu 07th Feb

Richie Deegan had a couple of spins over at Cheltenham during the week but he was back on home soil to land the Wexford (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race on Thosedaysaregone. Sat 17th Mar

He is a grand honest horse who stays galloping and he's a horse who wants a fence in time. He was bought to be a chaser so we're delighted. We'll see what sort of a mark he gets and see what the story is,. Getaway John let him down at the last and I'm not sure he went through with it. He did that at Navan the last day but today he gave the winner 6lbs so it wasn't a bad run; he has the ability but I don't know.

He's a big galloping horse so it's great. He'll go home now, he's a big winter horse. Lisa (O'Neill) is a great girl - she keeps them balanced and keeps them running. A double on the day. As everyone knows we didn't run any for two weeks and I think we are three or four days back running horses. We hit the crossbar with a few but we are back and rolling now. A few of the horses were coughing and we had to do the right thing by them. A lot of them are blowing up and needing the runs but we'll get back rolling. We've a quiet weekend but we'll get going next week.
