I'm delighted with that. It was a big ask for his first run in a handicap, saying that it's a pity he wasn't in the race before it. He didn't actually qualify for it (Irish National) as he hadn't three runs at the time. He wants soft ground and he's been fortunate this year to get soft ground at this time of the year. We'll keep him in for Punchestown and see what the weather does. Unfortunately you just can't plan for soft ground at this time of the year and he's probably more a Thyestes horse. He's very ground dependent. He's been a right horse and that was only his fourth run over fences so it was a fair performance.

He’s strengthened up this year and is just a different horse. We might look at nice handicaps now at some of the Festivals coming up. He could go on any ground and I would say the better the ground the further we will go. He stays and he’s tough.

he handled conditions which was a big plus out there today. You either handle it or you don’t. He won in Navan a few weeks ago and has improved since. He’s a typical Colm Murphy horse — tough and keeps improving.

I'm delighted with that, he stays at it really well,. He's been hard on himself over further hence why we dropped him back to two-and-a-half. He's a three-mile horse in time and I suppose he proved that today. He's in again on Thursday but I'm not sure whether we'll go to war with him again so quick but it's an option. We'll look for something similar otherwise.
