Loup De Tallane snatched victory late on in a dramatic finish to the Slaney View Motors Handicap Hurdle at Wexford. Sun 30th Oct
After race at Kilbeggan Wed, 4th Sep, 2024 (1st)
I’m delighted for the owners Dave Field and Eddie Aylward who have been very patient with him. He’s been one of those horses that is always picking up little niggling things and it’s been difficult to get a clear run with him. His recent form wouldn’t inspire you even though he was travelling well in Tramore the last day when he got brought down. I was more hopeful than confident but it’s great to get the win out of him. He won on heavy ground in Wexford nearly two years ago and I knew when that heavy shower came after the second race that it wouldn’t do his chances any harm. He’s not a winter horse and may have a run over fences before we wrap up for the winter.
