Patience was rewarded with Lasoscar as took the second division of the JF Hanley Handicap Hurdle at Roscommon. Tue 02nd Aug
Yes patience was required but Man delivers
Yes Man began with a third placing in a bumper at Leopardstown on Irish Champion Hurdle Day in January 2009. He went to Sligo today still searching for a first victory and it arrived at odds of 33/1 under Jody McGarvey in split two of the Callan Tansey Solicitors Handicap Hurdle. Mon 23rd May
After race at Kilbeggan Sat, 11th Aug, 2018 (1st) 
He has been very consistent. He is a very honest, genuine horse. He never runs a bad race. He was in that race nicely off his mark today. I was a bit worried that it was a tad short for him. They went very quick and going out on the last circuit he was being niggled along. I thought 'we need to get every jump here' and in fairness he did. It ended up being a staying race and he just outstayed them. It's great for his owner Johnny Kavanagh who is a local man and it's a nice pot to win. I've no real plan for him now. I was kind of seeing how today went. We'll see what the handicapper does and that'll make my mind up. I won't be rushing him back.

After race at Killarney Sat, 26th Aug, 2017 (1st)
We were hoping he'd get prize-money from a light weight and he had a good run at Sligo the last day. He got caught once or twice then but finished off very well and probably the further distance today stood to him,. He's very game and it was a nice pot to win today and he'll probably go over fences now.

After race at Roscommon Mon, 29th Aug, 2016 (1st)
He's a tough little horse and galloped the whole way to the line. JJ gave him a super ride. That's his first win as a pro and I'm delighted to give it to him. He's a very good chap and would give you a hand anytime. I felt he (Lasoscar) was in good form. He got a fair penalty for winning last time. These handicaps are always competitive and there was plenty of money for a few today. He's game and very genuine. I might just up him in class now off a lighter weight and there is a race coming up in Ballinrobe for him. David gave him a lovely ride and arrived there at the right time. I thought we were up and knew we weren't beaten anyway.

He won well. He had a lovely run in Sligo when second,. He can be a bit keen and needs to be dropped out. I felt with the two-and-a-half miles here, and where they start, it would suit him and give him a chance to settle. I like this horse. He only came to me last September as an eight-year-old never raced. I told the owner to be patient with him and he'd win a handicap. We'll keep him to that company and see how he progresses. David gave him a lovely ride.
