Heavens comes from the clouds to win Oaks
The 5/4 favourite Great Heavens came from the clouds to land the penultimate classic of the season the Darley Irish Oaks for her trainer John Gosden with birthday boy William Buick in the saddle (24 today). Sun 22nd JulNathaniel in good fettle after King George
John Gosden reports Nathaniel in good form this morning after his agonising defeat to Danedream in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot yesterday. Sun 22nd Jul
After race at Curragh Sun, 22nd Jul, 2012 (1st)
She got boxed in and William just couldn't do anything. I had nearly given up hope two furlongs out but she is classy and answered a big question in the final furlong. She will get an entry in the Yorkshire Oaks and the St Leger. There's no reason that a filly of her class couldn't do something like that - someone has got to take on Camelot!
