We knew he was fit as he had a good run in the Up The Yard challenge race at Punchestown and I think he’s got a bit faster. He’s won over a mile and a quarter and a bit further, but he’s improved with age. I think he can run over anything from a mile up to a mile and three. I don’t think he’s ground dependent, and I can play with the trip. He’s a real nice horse to look forward to. I’m sorry for Robbie (Colgan), but I wanted to take weight off him.

I'm delighted. He had a little problem, we solved it, and he's just got better and better,. I have to thank Ted Durcan because, even though he's won over a mile-four and a mile-two, he just reckoned he wasn't staying and to drop him back to a mile. I did and he just loved it out there. . Robbie said he wasn't going to let anyone by him, that he was just having a ball up front. . I put him in the Hunt Cup at Ascot, John loves having runners there. He was too low in the handicap, I don't know what he'll get for this and I don't know if he'll get enough to squeak in. . That opens up loads of options though.

I'm absolutely delighted. He's had hiccups and it's taken a long time to get him right,. In Tipperary he ran a horror of a race but he pulled a front shoe and stood on the nail. It took a few weeks to get him sound again. He ran a great race in Killarney and I'm delighted because he's a good horse. He kind of handicapped himself because things had been going wrong. Hopefully we're on an upward curve now. He's in at the Curragh on Wednesday and he'll run with the penalty. I think he's really a mile-four horse but it's just brilliant to have him back. He's a really nice straightforward horse. He's in the horses-in-training sale but now that I have him back I'm going to try and talk to John. I think he's really well handicapped but it's John's decision. I'd love to hang on to him but we'll see.

Robbie (Colgan, jockey) said the last day he is still green and the penny hasn't really dropped with fully him. Even though he wasn't placed the last day, he was really pleased with how he ran. It is unfortunate on Robbie who injured his ankle schooling young horses in stalls and will be out of action for a few weeks. hopefully he will improve again and will sharpen up so we could go back in trip as well. We'll see what the handicapper does and he got away with that ground as he would like a bit more juice - there are lots of options with him.
