I don't know what happened the last day, it was just one of those days. I got her scoped afterwards and everything was right, she worked the other day and worked great. This was the only race for her, I know it was two furlongs shorter but I wasn't worried as she ran well over the trip here before. I'm surprised how well she won. You are always guaranteed the ground here, once they go on it. She's fabulous, that's seven wins now and she's flying. It would be great to have a yard of horses like her.

She's in great form. She won in Wexford the other night and this was kind of the plan. Last year we hadn't enough points for this race and she was ready for it. We didn't think we'd get into this year and it was only after we entered we thought we had a great chance of getting in. We fancied her because she came on from the hurdles the other day. She is what she is but she loves it up around here and never runs a bad race. We're delighted, if I didn't have her sure I'd get nowhere. I'll have a look and she'll probably come back here before we go over hurdles again.

I didn’t think she’d handle the ground today as well as she did. She wants real nice ground. I walked the track and I thought it was a little bit dead in patches which she wouldn’t like. Sean said she got a blow early enough that he was able to fill her up. They got racing plenty early and she got back into it fairly easily. She’s a real summer mare. She’ll run away for the summer in both codes and is a nice mare to have around the place. I think she might come on a bit for the run as I didn’t think she was one hundred per cent today.

I thought she had won coming into the parade ring but then I met Conor and he thought we were chinned on the line. The ground is a little bit too slow for her, she just barely gets home on that ground. She loves quick ground, sure she loves Dundalk. It took me ages to get her fit, it took three runs. She had a bad draw the last day but what can you do, you have to run because you don't know when they'll get in again or if they'll be sick. So I ran her and she was a bit too far back but flew home. I knew she was fairly right after that run. She'll probably go for one of these again now or maybe a handicap hurdle, we'll see. I haven't really ran her much over hurdles yet because I knew there was another flat race in her. She is ground dependent and wouldn't go on anything slower than that.
