There definitely was greater strength in depth this year than last and it was tight enough on ratings. I jumped into the race probably sooner than I wanted to but I wasn’t disappointing him at that stage, and once he got on top, all I had to do was keep him up to his work. He doesn’t need a lot of encouragement to jump but you can trust him with your life now. It was a different story when he was a novice and was letting fly. You’d put anyone up on him now, he’s a great spin, and a joy to have anything to do with. he loves that ground and credit to the Listowel staff, it’s 25 degrees today and the ground is still safe at this time of the day. They’ve done a lot of work on it.

Brian said he was delighted with him. He was fresh and well early and he said he came alive when he went to the front going to the third last. He said he did it well, he said the ground actually felt a bit dead on him. He's a nice ground horse. We're delighted with him. We didn't know what Dollar Value was going to do, Brian said there was talk he was going to drop in. They were just waiting to see what he was going to do. It worked out in the end and they all ran well. Kemboy ran well, he's improving the whole time and he'll probably go to the north.

Easy Game did it well, Paul said he was jumping out of his skin and left him behind at one or two fences. I think the plan is to go to Gowran for the Grade 2 PWC Champion Chase. Kemboy's owners are keen to bring him to Far Hills for the 100th anniversary of the American Grand National. The race is over 2m5f and I'd love to send Easy Game, but he is AQPS (a French breed) and they're not allowed run in the USA.

he is consistent and lovely to be associated with and has been a good fun horse for his owners. He didn't enjoy the ground but has that bit of class, was in his comfort zone at all stages and was dawdling around having a look at everything. He is a smashing horse, he has been at the top level and while it is hard for him in all those big handicaps carrying top weight, that is the level he is and the Galway Plate looks the obvious target now.

After race at Fairyhouse Mon, 18th Apr, 2022 (1st)
It was a little fortuitous. I thought the horse would need the race but he finished out very well and jumped well,. I'm very happy for Nick Peacock, the owner. It's disappointing with Janidil falling and the other fella unfortunately didn't make it. Unfortunately that's the ups and downs of the game. He is a big loss. I haven't had a chance to talk to Paul (Townend) yet but I'm not sure if he had a heart attack before the fence as he didn't get up at all.

After race at Listowel Sun, 19th Sep, 2021 (1st)
It is Nick's (Peacock, owner) first racemeeting since Cheltenham 2020 and he is delighted to be back,. The horse might be improving a bit and we will look at the Grade 2 chase in Gowran, although Royal Rendezvous goes there and we might keep the two of them apart. We'll see what happens and see how he comes out of this race. We never thought he was a three-miler but he ran a cracker in the Galway Plate. Maybe he deserves an entry in the Down Royal Champion Chase (over three miles) - it might be a little beyond him but he has handled the ground up there, it can get very lively, so it is a possibility.

After race at Gowran Park Sat, 3rd Oct, 2020 (1st)
Paul was allowed to dictate and he made use of that,. The horse jumped fantastic, he made one major error and one minor error. He loved the ground. I'm very happy for Nick Peacock. It good that Gowran were able to put on two days with good prize-money in this current climate. I have to thank today's sponsors PWC and the EBF for putting on two fillies races yesterday with almost €20,000 to the winner. We could look at the John Durkan and the Clonmel Oil with the winner while the second season chase in Down Royal might be the best option.

After race at Leopardstown Sat, 28th Dec, 2019 (1st)
I was expecting the other horse (Allaho) to win but Easy Game just has that little bit more speed. Paul (Townend) felt the other horse just needed the race. He thought maybe the next day under the same conditions he would turn the tables. The Dublin Racing Festival would be the obvious target for Easy Game now all being well. He's probably not a real winter ground horse and when he won that it tells me the ground is a lot better than a lot of people imagine. I'm happy that I took Al Boum Photo out now and we'll go for softer ground somewhere else. Allaho gallops and jumps. They could both come back here for the Flogas Novice Chase. We'll have to see how they all come out of Christmas and then try and plan a path where we can separate them as well.

The luck goes with you some days and against you others. We were hoping he could run well and to pick up the pot was brilliant. He’s honest and he jumps and tries for you,.

After race at Galway Mon, 30th Jul, 2018 (1st)
The horse was in great order and he improved from Killarney as Paul (Townend) thought he would. He did it real well. He jumped super and he travelled well. It's great to be back - pressure off! It’s a relief. I’ve only had a week’s work in the last nine months and it’s great to be back. I hope I last a bit longer than a week this time!. The leg has felt great for a long time - I had no worries about that, it was everything else I had to worry about. It has been a long enough old road. I’ve been ready for a fortnight or three weeks and this was always the target. It’s great to have Ruby back. He jumped from hurdle to hurdle and climbed the hill. You are always wondering when you come to Galway whether you have a horse that will climb and he climbed. It’s a nice start to the week.
