When one leading layer priced up Noras Fancy at 11/2 last evening for the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase at Thurles it proved popular. The first-time visored daughter of Brian Boru eventually went off the 7/2 joint favourite under David Splaine for the two and a quarter mile contest and she got the job done for Oughterard, County Galway owner Michael Dixon and trainer Jimmy Mangan. It's great to get a win at the festival in Listowel,. I actually bought him off the jockey's uncle Paddy Condon, from Tallow and that's his fifth win now. We're all getting a great kick out of him and he's the family pet.

we were hopeful more than confident today but we weren't totally surprised he won. Today's trip was a bit short for him and ideally he wants further than two miles but the ground was a help. He'll probably go to Thurles for a 2m6f race on Thursday week.
