The 124-rated Gold Des Bois (10/11 fav) led two out in the Kilmore Maiden Hurdle and went on from there to account for market rivals Champagne Gold (7/2) and Pienta (9/4) by four and three quarters of a length and the same. Thu 01st Oct

I'm delighted with that and he jumped really well. He just got a bit lost when we set off chasing with him last autumn. He seemed to really enjoy himself today and I'm delighted for the Maloneys. Rachael gave him a super ride. I've no plan for him, we will enjoy today and see. There is a couple of nice novices coming up. There is a race at Galway over two mile two but it might be a bit sharp for him, we will see. There are a couple of winners' chases around that he could go for.

He is a lovely horse. Dylan gave him a super ride and he jumped well. We couldn't have asked him to do it any better really. I'd say he'll go for a novice next, we'll see. He is a real chaser in the making and I'm delighted with today. I'd say we could look at going further with him in time. We'll speak to the Maloney's and see what they think and we'll make a decision from there.
