Benny scores on first start for new connections
On his first start for his new connections of owner Barry Connell and trainer Shane Broderick, Black Benny took the www.galwayraces.com Flat Race, in good style under Pat Murphy. Sun 28th AugFive wins from six for Mullins this week
Despite being friendless in the market, drifting from his morning price of 11/8 out to 5/2 at the off, Capisci ran out an easy thirteen length winner of the Mullingar Flat Race, the last on the card this evening at Kilbeggan. Fri 15th Jul
After race at Kilbeggan Fri, 15th Jul, 2011 (1st)
That was probably not the strongest bumper ever but it was a great improvement from the last day. The ground was the key as he was much better suited to that surface. He will go hurdling but we might look at a winners bumper for him next. He has the size and scope to go chasing eventually and I was very pleased with the way he stayed on and he might be a three mile chaser in time.
