J.M. Sheridan, rider of Bright Legend, trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left from about three furlongs out

C.T. Keane, rider of Dutch Gold, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his reins snapped leaving the stalls

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Bright Legend, ridden by J.M

Sheridan, placed fourth, and Immutable, ridden by G.F. Carrol, placed second, where it appeared Bright Legend had to check off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. M. Sheridan stated that his mount hung into the back of Immutable. G. F. Carroll stated that he kept straight and only became unbalanced when he received a bump from Bright Legend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they took no further action.
