Permission was given for Connie's Rose (GB) to wear a red hood to post; for Thegreatestshowman (GB) to be mounted in the chute; for Diamondsinthesand (IRE) and Kyber Crystal (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.

Callum Hutchinson, the rider of Connie's Rose (GB), drawn 10, was slow to remove the blindfold.

Hutchinson’s explanation that the filly was restless in the stalls making it difficult to remove the blind easily as a result, was noted.

Taylor Fisher, the rider of Kyber Crystal (IRE), drawn 3, was slow to remove the blindfold resulting in his horse being slow to start.

Fisher's explanation that having ridden the filly previously he was aware that the blindfold needed to be removed at the very last moment, to avoid accelerating the gate, and was fractionally late removing it in an attempt to do so, was noted.

Following the race, Gina Mangan reported that Hagia Sophia (GB), placed fourth, was slowly away; Callum Hutchinson reported that Connie's Rose (GB), placed fifth, was fractious in the stalls; Taylor Fisher reported that Kyber Crystal (IRE), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls; the Veterinary Officer reported that Thegreatestshowman (GB), unplaced, lost a right-fore shoe.
