it's hard to know what to make of him - we put the cheekpieces on him to see if we could get him to travel today. He's lazy and he is switching on and off. He travelled ok today but at the top of the hill you would wonder. He toughed it out well in fairness to him and we would be happy enough with him. He jumped very well today and will jump a fence but we'll probably stay hurdling for the minute. We'll stay aiming small for the minute and see how we go. I've only had a handful of runners up here and he is my first winner here. The man who bred the horse (John Magee) is from up here, so it is nice. Ray Hackett, trainer

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Star Adventure, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

A novice hurdle for four years old and upwards which at entry are rated 100 or less (also open to horses which at entry are rated 101-116)
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 4lbs ;5-y-o and up 10st 9lbs ;Horses that have not run three times over ;hurdles and/or do not have a published ;handicap hurdle rating may enter and run at ;the discretion of the handicapper provided ;their performances are rated 116 or less ;
Penalties - Performances before 23rd September - for every 1lb above the rating of 100 1lb extra On or after 23rd September - for each hurdle race won 4lb extra
