That was very impressive. He had a lay up as he had a drop a week ago and he had a sale to Hong Kong (that didn't work out) that delayed him by two week so we thought he would have needed the run,. I think he's a good horse after that performance. Gary said he didn't get the luck of the race but he done it well. It's only his fourth run so you'd have to rate him. I think Galway is a bit soon and I don't think he'd get in. I think he'd get a 6lb penalty but from my ratings this morning I don't think that gets him in. I'll probably look at the big handicap on Irish Champion's Day as an end of season target.

It was a very professional performance from a novice in a handicap and I'm delighted with him,. The statistics for maiden winners coming into handicaps are eight percent so we came here with that in the back of our minds. We've always loved the horse. He got a mark of 84 after the last day so we had no option but to go for a handicap. It was a nice handicap and I wanted to come back to the Curragh where he had won before. It was a learning mission as well but we were very happy to run. To be honest on his first run in a handicap I thought he might be a bit novicey but anyway he got up. In comparison to the run of six seconds we had, it's good to be on the other side.

He’s a nice horse but I didn’t think he would handle the ground. He handled it better than I thought, and Gary said there is plenty of improvement in him. You needed a six-furlong horse in that ground (soft, heavy in places), and we’ll try to stick to three-year-old only races. We have his half-sister who we picked up at the sales last year.
