He won easy but it wasn't a great contest. He could go for a little handicap or maybe a flat race. He ran a good race here the last day and seems to like the track. He runs a bit free and Conor gave him a good ride - all went well. He kept a little bit in reserve. Fair play to him as he kept a bit up his sleeve.

I don't know too much about the horse as I only have him about a month but he stayed at it well for an old horse like him. Maybe we could find something similar, and it's possible that he could go back over hurdles if the ground picked up a bit.

The handicapper gave him a chance by dropping him 3lb and that probably made a big difference,. He's been a great horse for us and that's three he's won now. He runs consistently everyday. Wayne gave him a good ride. There is a mile-and-a-quarter race for him here in three weeks time.

Connor gave him a good ride. He's been dropped a few pounds and deserved it. He's been getting plenty of prize-money but just not getting his head in front. He might go next for the Cork Derby (worth 50,000 euro on June 14).

Navan Wed, 15th Jun, 2011 (1st)
Niall said he got very idle in the last furlong or so having been clear. He probably wants to go back up to a mile and a half and maybe he could do with easier ground too.
