He is a horse, has done nothing only improve. He ran well on debut in Dundalk but picked up a few niggles through the year. He ran very well at Cork the last day, when I thought he might have needed the run. He was in a little pocket but is very genuine and tires his hardest. It is great to win another maiden, which is what it's all about, and we'll probably give him one more run this year. I'm delighted for the owners Helen and Mark Keaveney who are lovely people and I rode for them when I was with John Oxx. They bred him and are racing fans, so will be keen to run him again next year.

The horses are all going well. We worked them all on Tuesday and their scopes were clean and bloods were good. We had two fancied horses coming here today. On home work Rahmi (fourth) is a flashy worker but this horse when you get him to the races, and he gets into that rhythm, he’s hard to pass. That bit of rain we’ve had the last few days suited him. A stiff mile here is good for him, he’s very brave and when he gets to the front he doesn’t like being passed. He’s entered in Leopardstown for the mile and one (Nasrullah Handicap) and will probably go there and Rahmi might go to Galway.

That was great, he's a bonny little horse. He ran really well the last day because he would have needed the run a little bit on that ground. Today we were wondering would he handle this better ground. He's very genuine and tough. It's a pleasure to have horses for the owners, they are lovely people and I rode winners for them when I was with John Oxx as an apprentice. It's great to get a horse like this for them. Hopefully he'll be able to be a premier handicap horse because he's very genuine. A mile is probably a good trip for him. He handled the ground but he'll probably be better with a bit more ease. He did the same in Listowel, when he got on the rail he doesn't let them get past.
