I'm absolutely delighted. He's been running well and off his hurdles mark we thought he had a right chance,.

that was a fair performance with that weight on his back. He is entered over Christmas but we'll probably put him away and wait for better turf ground.

I'm delighted with that. We've been a long time waiting on it. On his flat form he was entitled to win but he has been frustrating over hurdles. We'll see what the handicapper does and we'll try and find something similar. He probably wouldn't want heavy ground. Robbie was very good on him, he was very patient. He doesn't want to hit the front too soon as he has a habit of pulling himself up.

At least the handicapper can't give him too much for that. He hasn't stopped improving and I didn't think the ground would be a problem as he has gone on winter ground before. The plan was to go hurdling but that could be shelved now. Hopefully there's another little flat race in him. He pulls himself up in front and he was probably getting to the end of his tether. He being that bit older probably helped on that ground against the younger horses.

Galway didn't work out for Aladdins Cave but he bounced back today. We'll aim him at a Premier Handicap at The Curragh next before he goes back hurdling . soft ground isn't an issue with him either.

I suppose Galway could be on the agenda. We'll keep him ticking over and see what's there. We could put him away for a little while then,. It was a tall order to come here today but thank god he done it well. It was the obvious thing to do as he 6lb well-in. He was entitled to win but it's always a little worry.

He's in again on Monday in Dundalk and depending on how he comes out of the race we'll belt on with him. I can't wait to go back jumping with him. I'm delighted with him and he's improving all of the time.
