The winner, Troed Y Melin (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Taunton on 31st of December 2021 where the gelding was pulled up, on ground officially described as GOOD to SOFT, SOFT in places.
Chris Honour’s explanation that the gelding had benefitted from a quicker surface on this occasion, was noted.
Troed Y Melin (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Kielan Woods reported that the front boot of Scorpion Haze (IRE), which was pulled up, had slipped down.
