The winner Well Smitten (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Wetherby on 2 March 2020 where the gelding finished fifth of seven beaten 43 lengths.
The representative of Sam England explained that the gelding may have benefitted from reverting back to being held up on this occasion.
His explanation was noted and Well Smitten (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, James Bowen reported that Lady Master (GB), placed fifth, stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination found the mare to be lame left fore.
