We didn't expect it today but he won and we'll take it. That's his first time running over three miles. We've been running him over two miles and he handled the ground well there when a lot of them didn't. He is consistent and we might go over fences now or else go to Leopardstown over Christmas for the Pertemps Qualifier.

The Stewards enquired from P. Townend, rider of Coquin Mans (FR), who fell on the flat in this race. The rider reported that his mount stumbled independently for no apparent reason. Having considered the report and viewed a recording of the race, the Stewards took no further action
Miss E.A. Lalor, rider of Carrigeen Acebo trained by R.H. Lalor, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount gurgled quite badly during the last circuit.
