The result was settled here by the fall of O'Donovan Rossa at the second last, although it would be fair to say OSCAR REBEL may have won anyway.

Sea Beauty assumed her customary role by setting a strong pace and jumping slickly to build up a clear advantage. She was reeled in by the above pair approaching the straight, and O'DONOVAN ROSSA was just about to strike the front when 'guessing' at the second last and crashing to the ground. Oscar Rebel, having been ridden along to make up ground before the straight, had the measure of Sea Beauty before the last and drew clear on the run-in. The Liam Burke-trained point-to-point winner appreciated this extra quarter mile and will probably be suited by further.

SEA BEAUTY conversely would be better served by two miles, and is surely capable of putting her speed and jumping to good use for a handicap win at one of the country venues.

SHADY WILLOW was a spent force from three out and this performance by the lightly-raced dual bumper winner is best forgotten. The easy to back 11/8 favourite reportedly 'never travelled' according to rider Ruby Walsh.
