The Stewards requested a report from John J. Walsh, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Marygale Bridge, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this mare was significantly impeded by a faller two out at Thurles and stopped travelling thereafter. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report. Mrs.Mary C.O'Connor, trainer of Pearl Heart, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge was found to have lost a shoe on post race inspection.
