The Stewards fined Thomas Mullins, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Colour Me In, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Colour Me In in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90
The Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer,as to the apparent improvement in form of Livingstones Quest, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Gavin Cromwell reported that his charge had his palate cauterized since his last run, this being the second occasion for this procedure. He added that his charge had a tendency to run very keen but was settling better lately and today's small field of runners on better ground allowed him to settle close to the pace. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
