The winner, Pink Gin (GB), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Lingfield Park on 10 December 2018 where the gelding finished sixth of the eight finishers, beaten by 33¾ lengths on Heavy ground.
The representative of Nigel Twiston-Davies’ explanation that Pink Gin (GB) had appreciated the ground, which was officially described as Good, Good to Soft in places on this occasion, was noted.
Pink Gin (GB) was routine tested.
The performance of Cesar Et Rosalie (FR), which started favourite and finished fourth, beaten by 8¼ lengths, was considered.
Noel Fehily reported that the gelding jumped and hung badly left-handed throughout.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Cesar Et Rosalie (FR) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
