Tibetan Dragon came on a lot for his hurdling debut to put disappointing memories of his flat career behind him. He had been fancied more than once then, when with David Wachman, not living up to promise shown in maidens when graduating to handicaps.
Whether he?d have beaten Arviz if that one hadn?t badly missed the last is anyone?s guess, but these two should win more races. Cry Presto is well-exposed but he stuck to his guns gamely enough here and surely there will be an opening to be found with him at some stage.
There was a fair bunch of them closely grouped after that with Dora Explora not far off justifying the confidence of his backers 33/1 in a place into 16/1. Imperial Hills caught the eye with this effort and although disappointing to be only seventh after being quite well-backed, he is certainly one to remain interested in for the time-being (he already has a handicap mark). Celtic Finn was a non-runner owing to the ground. Tetouan was reported to have jumped poorly and ran green in the early stages. Hunting Tower meanwhile jumped poorly and ran green and failed to handle the ground but was post race normal.
