A very competitive affair which saw Good Fella continue his consistent vein of form by landing this two-mile-six-furlong contest by two and a half lengths at the death. The seven-year-old had finished third on his most previous run behind Hold The Pin who was absent here due to the ground conditions.

Martin Mooney settled his mount in behind the leading group of runners and left it late, not hitting the front until after the final flight of hurdles. He jumped well and clearly likes it around here after bringing off a big touch here earlier in the season and also finishing second to Siegemaster at this venue ? a race he would later be awarded on a technicality.

Newton Bridge came with what looked like a bold effort but he just failed to finish as strongly as the winner and should be up to winning a similar contest over shorter. He comes from a shrewd yard and will no doubt win a nice pot off a good mark.

Handfull Of Euro's was always up there and again was running well at this track for a second consecutive occasion. She was just touched off last month off a light weight and with 10st1lb he put in a good display again. 2m4f is probably her trip and in a nice mares handicap she could do some damage.

Knock On The Head was held up and finished well despite never really posing a threat to the winner. He is consistent and in good form of late, shouldn't be beyond him to score again and the trip should not be the problem.

Stewarts House was reported to have hung left throughout the race by Davy Russell while the vet reported this horse to be post race normal.
