Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that Cavalier Approach (IRE) was mounted as the start was effected, and was therefore deemed to be a runner.
The Starter reported that Cavalier Approach (IRE) was unruly in the stalls.
Ruth Carr was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
The performance of Dickieburd (GB), which started second favourite but finished unplaced beaten 8¾ lengths, was considered.
Craig Lidster could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Graham Lee reported that Spring Is Sprung (FR), placed fourth, hung right throughout.
