An enquiry was held to consider interference after the final hurdle in the home straight on the first circuit when COOL WELL (IRE), placed second, ridden by Max Kendrick, interfered with the winner, Swaffham Bulbeck (IRE), ridden by Callum McKinnes.
Being a 7lb claiming conditional, McKiness was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Kendrick was suspended for 4 days for improper riding as he manoeuvred his horse towards the rail where it ought to have been obvious that interference would result, resulting in McKinnes having to take a slight check.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that All About You (IRE), placed fourth, had bled from the nose and Mr Aaron Anderson reported that Highwayman (GB), placed fifth, was never travelling.
