Dermot Weld limbered up for next week's Galway Festival when Treasure The Cross led all the way to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Wexford.
The daughter of Cape Cross, runner-up on her two previous starts, always looked to be travelling sweetly in front and quickened away nicely with two furlongs to run.
Pat Smullen kept the first-time-blinkered 2-1 shot up to her work and she had no trouble holding favourite Saajidah who was making her seasonal debut, by three lengths.
Fran Berry adopted similar all-the-way tactics as Midnight Soprano lived up to the promise of her two previous runs to land the Clonard Maiden.< Scots Gaelic and Green Art chased her all the way and nothing else got into the race, with the Paul Deegan-trained 5-2 favourite staying on strongly to win by three lengths.
Favourite Headford Lady was another to attempt to make all in the Belmont Handicap and she had most of her rivals cooked at the two pole, but the exception was 10-1 shot Cloud Fire
Declan McDonogh was never far behind the pace on Kevin Prendergast's filly and she found plenty for pressure in the closing stages to grab the leader and win by a length.
The John Hanlon-trained One For Joules (8-1) ran out a decisive winner of the Blackstairs Claiming Race, collaring Walter De La Mare a furlong and a half out and galloping on well for Martin Harley to score by two lengths.
The attention switched to the jumps for the Crown Bar Beginners Chase and it was won by the Niall Madden-trained 9-2 shot Salesin but not before a big scare for his supporters.
The gelding appeared reluctant to start and eventually went off some eight lengths behind the rest of the field, but he was in front passing the stands ahead of the final circuit and eased away to win comfortably by seven lengths under 'Slippers' Madden.
